The Core Badger Surfboard is a completely new addition to the Core lineup, offering a compact surfboard that bridges the gap between the 720 (freestyle, small and medium waves) and the Ripper (performance wave). The new Core Badger is designed for when the surf is messy, allowing you to have a lot of fun on the water. Practice sharp sprays in the waves or even attempt the latest freestyle tricks. The Badger has a bit more volume in the nose and tail, making it suitable as a light wind weapon in your quiver!

The Core Badger features a Fish outline, which means the surfboard is shorter and wider. The fishtail extends the rail slightly, allowing the surfboard to make extremely sharp, snappy turns. It also provides excellent grip and performs well at high speeds. The surfboard has a very strong construction, thanks to an XPS core encased in fiberglass. XPS has high compressive strength, and the fiberglass is further reinforced with a Soric layer, making it nearly impossible to dent the surfboard. The slightly wider nose with a 'spine' adds extra comfort. The nose ensures soft landings and minimizes the chance of the surfboard nose diving in choppy conditions. The double concave on the bottom allows for narrower turns. The V in the tail gives the Badger extra control while allowing you to transition from rail to rail with ease.

The flat rocker of the Core Badger ensures you can plane with little power, potentially allowing you to choose a smaller size. The rail is shaped so that you can easily grab it to practice surfboard-offs. The Core Badger features a Thruster fin setup that makes the surfboard feel loose under your feet and guarantees sharp turns. The fins are attached using the original FCS II fin boxes, allowing you to secure the fins in seconds. Older-generation FCS fins with set screws can also be mounted.
