It is back. The Core XR X Kite is the tenth generation of the iconic XR series. This version features several innovative upgrades that make the kite even better than previous models. The biggest upgrade of this kite is the leading edge construction. The XR X is equipped with the new ExoTex 3 high performance Dacron. Thanks to a completely new weave structure, this material is even stiffer and more tear resistant than before, without adding extra weight. In concrete terms, that means 12% less stretch and 20% more tear resistance. You can see and feel this upgrade on the water: a thinner leading edge diameter, lower weight, higher flying speed, and improved hangtime. The increased torsional response makes the kite react more directly to your steering input, resulting in faster turns and slightly better loop control. The new Core Powerseam construction ensures maximum strength in the leading edge, with the central section now double stitched and every kite sewn with a fresh needle.

The 5-strut frame has, of course, been retained. This frame gives the kite its signature stability and power, especially when the wind picks up. Combined with the exclusive CoreTex 2 Triple Ripstop canopy, you get minimal stretch, excellent stability, and smooth power delivery. The ExoTex Light struts are just as strong as before but slightly lighter, making the kite faster and more aerodynamic. All high-stress zones are reinforced with Kevlar patches to make the kite even stronger.

One feature you will really appreciate on the beach is the new Hyperflow Speed Pump system. The valve has been enlarged from 6 mm to 8 mm, providing almost 200% more airflow while pumping. In other words, inflating and deflating is much faster. With the CIT modes, you can adjust the steering character, bar pressure, and reactivity to your personal preference, while Instant Relaunch gets you back in the air quickly after a hard crash.
