The Prolimit Ace Steamer Freezip 3/2 is one of the most affordable wetsuits in our shop, and you would never guess that from what you actually get. A front zip that opens all the way, supple material and a tidy finish, while you pay surprisingly little for it. Prolimit uses techniques that feel great against your skin, and you notice it the moment you pull the wetsuit on.
The 3/2mm thickness is spot on for late spring, summer and the first weeks of autumn. Warm enough to keep going for a few hours, thin enough that you never really feel like you are wearing a wetsuit. Your arms and shoulders stay completely free while steering, and when you unhook or go for a boardoff the suit simply moves along with you.
That flex comes from the Airflex 500+ material, backed up by 350+ in the areas that need a bit more sturdiness. Airflex is foamed in such a way that the stretch is already built into the raw material, and the Airflex 500+ lining stretches along in every direction. The result is a suit that never restricts you and still sits snugly on your body. The Freezip also means you are in it within a few seconds, and out of it just as quickly after your session.
The panels are triple glued and blind stitched, in other words GBS seams. The needle only goes halfway through the material, so no holes are created and the water stays out. Everything is made from NaturePrene2, a bio-based rubber from FSC certified rubber trees, so this suit is 100% neoprene-free and bonded with water-based glue.
