Light and stretchy 3/2 summer wetsuit from Prolimit
May to September, water at eighteen degrees and a nice sea breeze. That is when you want as little as possible between you and your movement. The Prolimit Mercury 3/2 Double Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit is the thinnest version in the Mercury series and feels almost like a second skin on the water. Prolimit builds it with the same materials and finish as the thick winter models, just in 3/2mm. Ideal for long summer sessions and for kiters who run warm.
You notice the difference most in your shoulders and hips. With 3/2mm and the Quad Flex outer lining on Neolight heather 550+ fabric, the wetsuit moves with you in every direction, whether you are popping unhooked or just blasting back and forth for hours. The woven grid in the Quad Flex keeps the material strong, so thinner does not mean more fragile here. The Free-zip double frontzip keeps your back free and lets you get in and out quickly.
Even in summer, cooler water drops in temperature faster than you would think, especially at the end of the day. That is why this 3/2 also gets the Zodiac2 inner lining with Thermal Rebound2. That reflective layer holds your body heat in and blocks windchill when you are standing wet on your board and the wind picks up. The Zodiac2 plush fleece absorbs moisture and releases it again quickly, so your wetsuit dries fast between two sessions.
The seams are exactly like the rest of the Mercury line: triple glued with water-based Aqua Alpha glue, blind stitched and sealed on the outside with a wide carbon neoprene tape. That keeps the stretch intact and keeps water out. On top of that you get KED knee panels, drainholes at the bottom of the legs and ankle straps that stop the legs from riding up.
