Flexible 4/3 wetsuit for spring and autumn from Prolimit
Late September, the water is still decent and the wind is just about not. That is exactly where the Prolimit Predator 4/3 C-Zip Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit is in its element. With 4mm on your torso and 3mm on arms and legs you keep the warmth where it counts and stay loose where you need it. Prolimit uses the new C-Zip here, a closure across your chest that leaves your back completely free.
Compared to last year's Predator, the chest and back panels have been updated. Not the most spectacular update on paper, but it is the spot where you feel the difference the moment you come out of the water and the wind hits your torso. The rest of the recipe has stayed the same, and that is a good thing, because the combination of Down Airflex and Zodiac 2 has been doing its job for years.
That NaturePrene2 Oystershell neoprene is 80 percent natural rubber from FSC certified plantations, topped up with recycled carbon black, oyster shell powder and soybean oil. Neoprene free, then, without giving up any stretch. The double lined construction gives the wetsuit its sturdiness and at the same time lets the material move with you in every direction.
The seams are triple glued and blind stitched, with the needle only going part way through the neoprene. That keeps the water out without the seam turning stiff. The Down Airflex outer layer repels water and dries fast, so on a double session day you don't have to climb into a cold wetsuit. The KED knee pads take the abrasion when you drop to your knees to grab your board.
