The mast connects your board to the foil and determines how high you ride above the water. The fuselage is the central piece that connects the front and rear wings. The front wing provides lift and speed, while the stabilizer keeps everything balanced. Complete sets often come with bolts, mounting plates, and a travel bag. Because everything is perfectly matched, you can hit the water right away—ideal for anyone who wants to start foiling or upgrade their setup without any hassle.

Proper maintenance is key to keeping your kitefoil set in top condition and extending its lifespan. Rinse your foil thoroughly with fresh water after every session—especially after riding in saltwater, as salt and sand can cause corrosion. Regularly check that all bolts and connections are tight, and apply a bit of Tef-Gel or grease to screw threads to prevent them from seizing. Store your foil dry and disassembled to avoid tension on connections and prevent damage during transport. Keep it out of direct sunlight or extreme heat, as this can affect the carbon or aluminum. Occasionally inspect your set for cracks or wear so you can keep enjoying your trusted setup for many sessions to come.

The right lengths and sizes of foil components depend on your skill level, riding style, and the conditions you foil in most often. As a beginner, you’ll usually go for larger front wings (from 900–1200 cm²) since they provide more lift and make takeoff easier. More advanced foilers often choose smaller wings (600–900 cm²) for greater speed and maneuverability. Mast length determines how high you ride above the water: a shorter mast (50–85 cm) is ideal for learning and maintaining control in flat water, while a longer mast (85–100 cm) gives more room to maneuver in choppy conditions or at higher speeds. Board length also plays a role—shorter boards respond faster, while longer ones offer more stability when starting out since they typically have more volume.
